Can you help us with planning the entire event?

At Taddle Farm Tents we offer a ‘one-stop’ complete event hire service and enjoy helping our customers with planning their event from start to finish.

When will you set up and collect?

Generally we will set marquees up two days prior to your event to give you time for internal arrangements and decoration. Furniture and additional equipment are normally delivered at the same time. We aim to be very flexible to fit in with your arrangements if the function is to be held at a venue. Collection can be arranged at a convenient time for you.

What size Clear Span Marquee do I need?

We offer Clear Span Marquee in widths of 3m, 6m, 9m and 12m, and will always advise on the appropriate size for your event.

As a very rough rule, we say that a 10 x 10ft area (100sq ft) will accommodate 8 seated guests or 12 standing guests.

If you need space for a band/dancefloor/reception drinks/bar etc, we recommend increasing the total marquee size by up to a third.

How many guests will each Capri Marquee accommodate?

20ft x 20ft Marquee – up to 24 seated or 32 standing (absolute maximum)

20ft x 30ft Marquee – up to 48 seated or 60 standing (absolute maximum)

28ft x 28ft Marquee – up to 40 seated or 54 standing (absolute maximum)

28ft x 38ft Marquee – up to 80 seated or 100 standing (absolute maximum)

These can be joined in various arrangements to accommodate larger numbers. You will need to add on more space for a band/dancefloor/reception drinks/bar etc.

How many guests do different tables seat?

4ft round table – 6 guests

5ft round table – 8 guests

5ft 6in round table – 10 guests

6ft round table – 12 guests

4ft x 2ft 6in trestle table – 4 guests

6ft x 2ft 6in trestle table – 6 guests

6ft X 3ft trestle table – 8 guests

What size dancefloor do I need?

9ft x 9ft – 18 dancers

12ft x 12ft – 32 dancers

15ft x 15ft – 50 dancers

18ft x 18ft – 72 dancers

21ft x 21ft – 98 dancers

24ft x 24ft – 128 dancers

Do I need to pay a deposit?

We ask for a 25% deposit based on your quotation to secure the equipment that you would like for the date of your event. We always aim to be as flexible as possible with any changes that you would like to make between paying the deposit and the wedding, and understand that guest numbers and finer details can change over this period. The remaining balance is due one month prior to your event.

Do I need to take out wedding insurance?

We will include a damage waiver fee on all quotations. This means that we hold responsibility for any accidental damage and theft of hire equipment over the event period (subject to our Terms and Conditions, see below). Alternatively we can recommend specialist wedding insurers if you prefer to take out your own insurances.

Are the sidewalls included in the price of the Marquee?

Yes. With both our marquee styles, all sidewalls (transparent or solid white) are included in the marquee hire price.

Do you offer a free site survey?

Yes. We are always happy to come and check the site suitability, discuss marquee options and gain a full understanding of your event prior to booking. A site visit is always really important for us and our clients, and highly recommended. We obviously do not charge for this service, and there is absolutely no obligation.

Do I need a generator?

This depends on how much electrical equipment you will be running and the distance of the marquee from a mains power supply. In general, if the distance to a mains source is greater than 50m you will need a generator. Using a generator to power your event is the safest and most reliable option.

We will advise on what size unit you will require. We work closely with local generator and event power company Limegreen Electrical, who supply a comprehensive range of well maintained event generators and a wealth of professional knowledge.

Do you provide a catering service?

No, but we work closely with several catering companies and can recommend catering services for different event styles.

A very talented band who we can highly recommend getting in touch with are called Mr Jean. They are a 4 piece band based in East Devon, who cover your favourite tunes from the 70′s to the modern day – perfect for a wedding band or party.
